Unipolsai Bologna Captures 2019 European Champions Cup Title

ITALY – Raul Rivero and Alex Bassani combined on a five-hit shutout and Unipolsai Bologna blanked the L&D Amsterdam Pirates to win the 2019 European Champions Cup crown.

Rivero (1-1) limited Amsterdam to just four hits and one walk over 7 2/3 dominant innings with 14 strikeouts to earn the win. Bassani registered the final four outs to seal the title-clinching victory.

Infielders Johnatan Polonius and Francesco Fuzzi both paced Bologna with a pair of hits and two RBIs apiece, while teammates Osman Marval, Jose Ferrini, Ericson Leonora and Alessandro Vaglio each collected two hits.
