Sri Lanka Wins 2019 West Asia Baseball Cup

Sri Lanka captured its second consecutive West Asia Baseball Cup Championship last Saturday with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Pakistan at the Sri Lanka-Japan Friendship Baseball Ground. Sri Lanka finished the six-team tournament with a perfect 4-0 record.

Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan qualified for the 2019 Asian Baseball Championship in Taiwan later this year against Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

India topped Iran, 8-1, to claim the Bronze Medal and Bangladesh pounded Nepal, 11-4, to finish the tournament in fifth-place.
